I'm Gary, the founder and photographer behind Revu Photography. I've been passionate about photography for as long as I can remember – long before digital cameras became the norm. In 2016, I had a turning point: a moment of clarity that made me realise I needed to leave behind the 9-5 office life and endless lines of computer code. That epiphany led me to follow my true calling and build the studio that became Revu Photography.
Since then I have had the privilege of encouraging people – from young dancers just starting to express themselves creatively, to adults rediscovering their confidence – to see themselves in a whole new light through the lens of my camera.
Photography is always about more than just creating pretty pictures for me – it's about creating images that capture truth, emotion, and those quiet moments of confidence and power that reveal our deepest selves and inspire us to embrace new possibilities with greater self-assurance.
Boudoir photography has always been a quiet part of Revu, offered when asked. But as more and more women began seeking it out, I realised it was time to give it the dedicated space it deserved – and so After Dark was born.
After Dark was created from a desire to offer something more personal, to create something deeper: a safe, empowering environment where women of all ages can explore their sensuality and self-worth without judgement. Along the way, I’ve earned industry recognition and qualifications – but it’s the trust of my clients, and the joy on their faces, that matters most. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of wonderful clients (see our reviews on the Revu Facebook page!) but it's the stories and transformations of my clients that mean the most – the moment they look at an image and genuinely love what they see. That little smile, that surprise in their expression – it's honest, real, and incredibly rewarding to witness.
Those moments are exactly why I do what I do – they’re the reason I bounce into the studio each morning, excited to meet the next person I get to show just how strong, beautiful, and confident they already are.
